The village of Kukurini, where the Baćac family winery is located, is situated not far from the ancient town and current municipal center of Pićan. Pićan holds historical significance as the fifth bishopric in the history of Christianity, which is why the local parish church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built in 1771 on the site of an older church, still holds the status of a cathedral today.

The Baćac family winery is situated in the village of Kukurini, not far from Pićan in eastern Istria. The vineyards, located on white soil at an altitude of 280 meters, are bathed by the cool winds from Učka and the warm air from the Kvarner region, providing ideal conditions for producing premium wines. Winemaking is a tradition in the Baćac family that spans four generations.

From their four hectares of vineyards, the Baćac family produces wines such as Malvazija, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Muškat Žuti, branded under the name “Vina z Kukurini,” which signifies their origin, tradition, and uniqueness.
